I admit I would have had a hard time being a soldier in the army of Israel when Joshua led them into Canaan. I wouldn’t have problems with everything, though there are times when my faith certainly would have waivered. I would have been cheering as the Jordan river parted. I would have been excited as we set up camp and prepared for war. I would have been sharpening my sword, polishing my shield, and preparing my armor when Joshua went to take counsel from the Lord. I would have been ready to fight and finally take the land we had been waiting 40 years to receive from God. When Joshua gave marching orders, however, and those orders ONLY included marching, I would have had a serious problem.
